Garden design - Devon Longhouse, Lympstone

A contemporary garden for a young family with bags of energy and enthusiasm for gardening and life outdoors. A glazed extension sparked off ideas about how to make more of their large plot. Their top field is now a play space and the garden walls shelter a large vegetable garden. Closer to the house, more intimate areas offer space for relaxing and enjoying the company of friends and family.

Plants were chosen to remind the clients of their time in New Zealand. Bold foliage and strong colours provide interest and wildlife habitats across the seasons. The garden is responding well to the clients' TLC and the mild Devon climate.
